Get a Mini Poem to Take Home

Visit Easton’s Centre Square on May 16 and 17 to receive a custom six-word poem, typed on a manual typewriter as part of the Karl Stirner Arts Trail’s Poetry in the Wild project.

Two women smile while watching Matt Wolf type a spontaneous poem at the Easton Farmers Market in Easton, Pennsylvania, as part of the Karl Stirner Arts Trail's Poetry in the Wild project.

Local artist and poet Maryann Riker, the project coordinator, will compose the poems from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the Arts Community of Easton Studio Tour.

In the event of bad weather, Riker will stroll along the tour route and recite short poems pulled from her pocket.

Poetry in the Wild is supported in part with funding from the Hotel Tax grant programs through Northampton County’s Department of Community & Economic Development, a Crayola Community Grant, and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts.
