Meet at the pedestrian bridge connecting the arts trail and the Silk complex at 11 a.m. The Walk & Talk event will last until about 12:30 p.m.

For the creative activities, you’ll get a journal, pencils, field cards, and a quick primer so you can start making observations on your own.

The featured poets and writers, Cleveland Wall, Anna Kodama, and Kate Brandes, will be located at the Upriver rock formations along KSAT’s nature trail, the Labyrinth and Living Willow Grove, and the streamside area with the historic sycamore Living Witness tree.

Presented by the Nurture Nature Center in Easton, the event is part of the Karl Stirner Arts Trail’s Poetry in the Wild Project. It includes many opportunities to engage with local poets as they create spontaneous poetry on demand using old-fashioned typewriters on the arts trail, Easton Farmers’ Market, and West Ward Market. The project began with a celebration of National Poem from Your Pocket Day at the Easton Public Market and outside Book and Puppet on April 18.
