Honoring Those Missing

People walk to the Karl Stirner Arts Trail sign during the Walk for the Missing and Stolen event as part of the Red Sand Project on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Participants raised awareness of lost and stolen and Indigenous women and children through a walk on and adjacent to the Karl Stirner Arts Trail (KSAT) on Oct. 28, then added to the Red Sand Project by filling in more pavement cracks with red sand. The event was presented by KSAT and Easton nonprofit PAZA, Tree of Life, which is dedicated to the revival and empowerment of Native American cultures. Jim Toia, KSAT executive director and curator, took the photos below.
