Test your physical limits or just get some exercise while helping a great cause at the Eighth Annual Artful Dash 5K Run/Walk on Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. Register by the end of June to get the $25 early bird rate. Proceeds benefit the Karl Stirner Arts Trail’s art and free community programs.
This chip-timed race is dog-friendly and open to all ages. Runners under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
The race begins behind Don Juan Mex Grill on North Third Street and heads onto Bushkill Drive for a quarter-mile before turning onto the main portion of the arts trail. The turnaround and water point are at the 13th Street parking lot.
Sign up by Sept. 15 to receive a long-sleeve T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded after the race to top finishers by age group and gender.
