Upriver Sound Bath Experiences

People sit on the floor by several hanging percussion instruments as part of the Sound Bath Experiences installation on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail in Easton, Pennsylvania

These sessions will be led by John Muraco of Heartwell House.

Reservations requested. Email Rico Reyes, director of galleries and curator of collections, Lafayette College, at artgallery@lafayette.edu with the subject line “Sound Bath Reservations.”

During this sound meditation, your only task is to be comfortable. Blankets, pillows, and mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own. A gently guided relaxation experience will be followed by the sounds of crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments. The nature of these sounds can support movement through emotions and deepen awareness. This experience is part of Upriver, a project by Heidi Wiren Bartlett and collaborators. Three Sound Bath Experiences will take place:

Saturday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m.

Grossman Gallery | Williams Visual Arts Building | 243 N. Third Street

Monday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m.

Colton Chapel | Lafayette College (main campus)
